Hello, December

we said goodbye to November with a late night delivery of just-because gingerbread cookies from a friend. they are all gone now. And we welcomed December with a good old fashioned paper chain. Christmas seems so near!

 i never did find just the right advent calendar, bummer, so we are making do with last year's paper chain advent which I saved.  I added a sticker to the insides of the links noting a special surprise like "make cookies" or "visit santa" or a little gift or sweet.  Not elegant or fabulous but it was totally free and took a mere 10 minutes for us to put together. The little ones dig it.
