Happy times, friends. The Tautphaus Park Zoo opens for the 2011-2012 season on April 16th. Hours 9am until 4pm until May 27th, when longer hours begin. I think this might be the year we check out an edZOOcation program or two.

Christmas on the River. A festive fun-run and jingle walk, santa claus and christmas treats and more. Events begin at 3:00pm, go here for details. I'm seriously considering the fun-run.

Bluegrass on the Greenbelt is an all-day outdoor bluegrass music festival. The festival serves as a fundraiser for the Strings for Kids program, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children of low-income families learn to play musical instruments (www.stringsforkids.org). Food, refreshments and ice cream will be available. Playground for Kids. Bring a Chair.
