I'll be adapting this WREATH idea for my own front door...think staggered in different sizes, united with one giant gorgeous bow at the top.

I had to read that one twice - I thought you were saying you guys were getting a dog.
I am with that last comment. Will you also be adding a dog to the scene? Since we're a few neighborhood blocks away, I might just copy your idea. It is fabulous!
Ok, I've amended the post somewhat to make it more clear. Though we think about getting a dog often (a Boston Bull Terrier named Scout, until we have property in which case we'd get a labrador) we always manage to talk ourselves out of it with the following arguments: messes. yard damage. expenses. travel dilemmas. household damage. obedience training. messes. Our toddler handles all of these issues just fine for now!
Sorry about continuing to comment on this blog...but you CANNOT get a dog named Scout. We already have a Golden Lab named that, along with his sister, the black lab Atticus. Just because they don't live with us doesn't mean ANYTHING! We enjoy them when we want to and then we send them home. Maybe you can share them with us until you get property!
