I left my guy and my little M in G'Ma Krissy's excellent care for 48 hours. They were both spoiled while I roughed it in the Targhee wilderness: Sunshine, cool breezes, sapphire skies, evergreen forests, tin foil dinners, trail mix, roasted Starbursts (not bad...worth a try), funny tent-mates, spectacular hike, and plenty of giggles to go around. Everything Young Women Camp should be. Camp is different from stake to stake, but in the end it's all about building skills, confidence, and friendships. No surprise that my tent was the loudest, the latest. Because I'm a cool leader like that.

Girls Camp 2008
PS: hot pink toenail polish is completely appropriate for camping...
PPS: is it obvious that I just installed photoshop elements 6 about 90 minutes ago and that I haven't a clue what I'm doing with it? Yeah, that's what I thought.

I LOVE girls camp. Hated it, HATED it, as a girl....love it as an adult. I made 7 of my bestest friends in the entire world at girls camp. We just can't seem to get enough of each other, and find ourselves getting kicked out of Starbucks at closing time, then sitting in the parking lot laughing our heads off until 2 am. I think that camp is ever bit as beneficial for the leaders as it is for the girls. Glad you survived!
I agree totally with the adult aspect of camp. Three of my BFFs are from girls camp. A couple of years after being released we decided we wanted to camp again - in San Diego. Our "camping trips" together happen every so often, and are so much fun.
I had a most wonderful time with little M. He was a perfect angel. And the late-night chat with B was priceless. Thanks for letting me come. And thanks for all your organization and information. It was so helpful.
Did someone forget to tell you that high-fasion sandals are not approved footwear for Girl's Camp? The toenails look nice, though. Here's hoping all your 'girls camp' dreams come true, if you catch my drift.
