Calling All Scrappers

So I've done a wee bit o' scrapbooking in my day but I'm not what you call a die-hard. (What's a cricut?)  But I know a few great gals who are devoted, so this post is for them! Last month I visited family in Seattle and met Katie Burke, owner of the Keepsake Cottage (website under construction). I received  a private tour of the cottage: tucked away outside the city, next to a tree farm and a sheep meadow, with stunning views of Mt. Rainier. It's just darling!

Katie has lovingly converted an old barn into a scrapbooking/quilting/crafting retreat, complete with full service kitchen and sleeping accomodations for you and 15 friends!

Each bedroom is uniquely decorated personally by Katie. The beautiful great room houses several workstations and worklights plus die-cut machines and plenty of space to spread it all out---your pages or your quilts or whatever! I've been told by a reliable source (my dear old mum) that Katie often brings fresh-baked cookies out to her crafters in the late evening...Yeah, I'm sold. And I'm not even crafty!

For details, until the website is up, email
thekeepsakecottage@clearwire.net
Katie would love to have you!

I may have to send my wife on a re-"treat" as this would be right up her alley.

That sounds like SO much fun. A slumber party weekend? What's not to like?
