Hooray! Shopping Day!

I really enjoy Christmas shopping-maybe because we have a simplified list and because I do it all before Thanksgiving. It allows me to actually enjoy all the other things about the holidays. Today I'm picking up most of the things I need for all the special people on my list; it's especially fun to shop for M this year.  I really look forward to getting just the right thing, and then wrapping it up pretty (I love to wrap gifts), and then packaging what needs to be sent far away. Paper Source and Crate and Barrel and IKEA have very fun giftwrap this year, by the way.  I'm so excited to set up the little  basketball hoop for M, and to fill his stocking with little goodies. Since the shopping will be done by Thursday, we can spend the next few weeks doing other things, like painting bedrooms and working on the basement. 

I recant...no more "Hooray" now that I've attempted marathon Christmas shopping with a 1 year old.
