This weekend we will make a pilgrimage to mecca, a journey for which we have longed these many many months. We will brave crowds and parking lots and inevitable insanity to obtain tortillas and baby wipes and pie, pot roast and caesar salad and those gosh darn polish hot dogs.
So, maybe 45 minutes via freeway doesn't exactly constitute a pilgrimage. However, as certifiable Costco disciples, it's the price of admission to visit the nearest location, opening this week. Halle-freakin-lujah! One of few places, and one of few reasons, that tempt me to consume a hot dog. Practically counting down the hours.

They sell Churros now too. Good luck getting out of there without eating at least one.
It is the small things that make us happy right?!
LOVE Costco!
love that place. Costco sometimes qualifies as our date night. sad, but true.
funny thing...we went to Costco 2 weeks ago on a Friday night and the place was eerily empty. you know the economy is bad when Costco is empty on a friday night.
We used to go there for "date night" or "family night" too. Definitely getting a churro.
I love Costco--or "Cuzkotopia" as my kids sometimes call it. Have a great trip. Oh, and you should try the Panko crusted Tilapia. It is wonderful!
Our new Costco in Covington opens on Saturday as well! It's the highlight of our weekend! Well... That and painting our living room... ;)
