sick baby

Is there anything more heartbreaking than a sick infant? M is experiencing his first illness (and thus, ours). He woke up at 10pm last night congested, and every hour or 2 after until 7am. He hasn't had but 15 minutes of sleep since, he has an endlessly runny nose, and a fever of 100. He's so miserable and uncomfortable and exhausted he doesn't know which way is up! Sleep would help,  but it evades him still despite a $50 trip to the drugstore this afternoon for more motrin, tylenol, vapor rub and a humidifier. The most frustrating part is that all the ammunition and cuddling aren't enough to make him at least comfortable, let alone feel better. All we can do now is just hope he gets some sleep. We'll visit the doctor in the morning--I have a feeling we are facing our first ear infection. Pobrecito!
